Hi All

Thunderbird is the Mozilla Email client unbundled from Mozilla.

I'm finding that I prefer a separate client because I goofed up the Mozilla version and then any time I clicked a newsgroup, the Mozilla client was called, caused an error, and then the whole darned browser had to be closed.

Don't know yet how it handles searches of large piles of email data, but it supports SSL and seems to have nice filtering. There is also a user forum:
