Hi All

I've been doing some searches on Goog for some of our key search terms, and I think I'm noticing something new.

Our site is sometimes there and sometimes not.....it's weird.

Example:

I'll do a search, check the results. Our site is there.

Then, I'll do the same search again, but this time, our site is NOT there, but everyone else's is and in the same order.

Then, later I'll do the same search again, and maybe our site is there, but in a different position, but the other guys are there like before.

Then, I'll search again for the same thing, and boom, our site is gone, but the other guys are all there still.

Huh?

No lie, I've been checking all morning.

Does anyone know anything about this? Has this happened to you?

I'm totally freaked.

This is a late response, but will respond anyway.

This does happen and is usually an indication that your ranking will drop 1 or two places. This happened to me many times and each time I lost a position or two after enjoying months at the top.

Once this happens, you’ll need to tweak your site. One good tweak is to check the amount of PR you’re giving away, keyword density and the types of links you have internal. I would search Goo for SEOguy and go from there. You’ll find some awesome tips that others charge for!
