Exim - how to forward mail to script?
Hi All

I had wanted to install some spam tools that use procmail - .procmailrc

ASK

/home/user/.ask

SpamBouncer
http://www.spambouncer.com/
/home/user/sb

However, I just learned that my default Exim installation can't use .procmailrc to forward email to these scripts

How does Exim forward stuff? What else should I try?

I've tried .forward, .qmail, .procmailrc - but nothing seems to forward anything.

Thanks Smile

Are you doing this through some kind of admin system?

Sometimes, (on systems such as CPanel and Plesk), you can just "forward" the email to a script.

i.e;

someona@domain.com ... forwards to: /path/to/script.pl

... and then it would read <STDIN> to grab the email.

Hope that helps :)

Hi.

If on cPanel server, it would be best to edit the Exim config from WHM so as to avoid resetting of changes upon upgrades. Acyually, as a personal experience, rejecting at SMTP level, all FAKE HELO would reduce the spam by about 50%. Could give the following thread a controlled try
