CharSet - which character set for TM, C, and R - httpd.conf
Hi All

On one server, the characters ™, ©, and ® show up fine. On this server, I don't know what the default charset is.

They are not in unicode, but they are simple, one-character thingies that my html editor puts on the pages.

On another server, those same characters do not render. Instead, I get a big question mark in their place. On this server, the default charset is:

AddDefaultCharset UTF-8

How can I get those TM, C, and R characters to render? Should I change the default charset in httpd.conf?

If you change AddDefaultCharset, should you restart the server or can you just upload the new httpd.conf and let it go?

Thanks very much Smile

Hi,

Not sure about the charset, but if you make a change to httpd.conf, you need to restart apache (or at least do a graceful restart).

Cheers,

Alex
