Sqwebmail isn't configured properly, or your sqwebmail authdaemon isn't running.

Cheers,

Alex

Actually it went off all of a sudden after running successfully for 9 months and there were no installs on the server of any software/package etc.

authdaemon processes:

368 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/courier/libexec/authlib/authdaemond start
369 ? S 0:27 \_ /usr/lib/courier/libexec/authlib/authdaemond start
370 ? S 0:26 \_ /usr/lib/courier/libexec/authlib/authdaemond start

Hi,

The authentication modules used as specified in authdaemonrc is:

authmodulelist="authuserdb authpam"

The imap/pop3/esmtp authentication works and it is only for sqwebmail that i get the error with invalid username and password for all accounts.

The /etc/courier/*.authpam files are similar for pop3/imap/esmtp and contain the following lines:

auth required /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so shadow nullok
account required /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so
session required /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so

the webmail.authpam is only having the following:

auth required /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so shadow nullok
account required /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so

Is the session part which is not existent in the webmail.authpam the session part is missing. Could that be the reason?

Hi Alex.

It is solved and it was just a one line support from the author of the script Mr Sam. It was to do with setuid bit of the sqwebmail binary. A sigh of relief :)

Thnx
