hmmm ... a fellow teacher at work is actually the teacher who is involved with most of the schools audio/visual type of things and he also is the advisor for the broadcasting club. school radio station and such ....
he's a die hard wintel type of guy although he doesn't speak much English at all he does know how to say "FaQ U" Nec so ... he's at the limit of his patience in regards to his nec hardware and is looking for a new machine.
He is wanting to go hardcore with video editing and for some strange reason believes that wintel is a better choice over a G4 (or soon to be G5) mac.
Now 2 things here:
1 --- a good setup for video editing ... let's be reasonable and keep it under US$ 1,300 (hehe ... he declined my suggestion to buy a mac since that would go over his limit ... understanable enough I guess .... hmmm)
2 --- a good argument that a wintel box is better for this type of usage over mac's ability ... apple has finalcut pro 3 coming out and dvd pro ... these are really nice and make adobe's primere look like a child's toy.
so folks what options would you suggest? any comments would definately be appreciated.
