OK ...

I got 2 friends who will be visiting Amsterdam from the 17th to the 24th.

They're looking for a not cheap but very reasonable hotel with WC and shower/bath in the Leidseplein and Museumsviertel area ....

Anybody recommend a good place?

Does Amsterdam have the same reputation in Japan as it does over here?

Well in Australia we know its a good places to get some drugs :) I assume thats the rep it has up there?

Nah, my 2 buddies are probably going after the natural herb stuff probably ... some kind of event.

Japan has a well built infrastructure but ... participation is somewhat lacking ... it's very Japanesezy ... while from what I heard Amsterdam takes care of that. Nothing against the Dutch that is.

My favorite country would be Denmark though!
