I think i've gone blank. Can't seem to grasp ascending and descending in terms of letters and numbers.
ascending with numbers is
1 2 3 4 5... right?
and descending 10 9 8 7 ... right?
with letters
descending is z y x w v... and ascending is a b c d e... right?
with dates..
ascending is
11/24/01 11/25/01 11/26/01 and descending is the opposite right? I am like going mad b/c i can't get this.

To ascend means to go up ie.. 1-9, a-z

To descend is to go down... 9-1, z-a
