Does anyone use VB at all or am I happily talking to myself when I make such posts?

naw... we use Perl. 
I think it'd be interesting to see this program using Perl with the Tk and Win32 modules.

Ugh, Tk is ugly on windows. What is really nice is Perl and wxwindows http://www.wxwindows.org.
