How far is the University of Victoria from Vancouver? And how far is it from the nearest skiing resort, possibly Whistler?

UVic is a about 3 hours away by car/bus (a 1.5 hour ferry ride). You can take harbor air to go from downtown vancouver to downtown victoria in 30 minutes.
Whistler is about another hour and a half farther. Local mountains are about 10-20 minutes from Vancouver, but skiing right now is pretty sad, not much snow at all.

Thanks for the info.
Skiing is bad in Whistler? I thought Whistler was meant to have the best snow for a decade back in December? Hm.
Not to worry, as I won't be out there until next January. How old do you have to be to hire a car over there? Any idea?

No, sorry, skiing is bad in the local mountains right now. Whistler is doing great.
As for renting cars, you can find ones that will do over 21 pretty easily (others will be over 25 only).
