This might be a bit more expensive an option (not by much seeing the price of that unit) but an idea.
Something I'm looking at since I've already got WiFi at home is to get my iPaq a CF WiFi card. Hook up a small slave server (in my case my laptop) to the stereo system along with a nice cgi that allows you to manipulate play lists from the iPaq or any computer on your network. Get lirc/lircd running on your server box and you'll also be able to macro actions to any other IR operated hardward in the area.

I like going uphill both ways. 
All I need is the network card for my iPaq and I'll be done. The benefit (once it's all in place) is the potential of having a much more generic home network/automation system without the need for wiring.
