I liked Star Wars when it was introduced. The later movies have been disappointing. They seemed more interested in merchandising tie-ins rather than telling an interesting story.

Star Trek came in several flavors. The original was more or less a travelogue of Capt Kirks dating activities with various species.

I liked ST-NG, as there were some really deep story lines. Made you think.

ST-Andromeda is OK. ST-Vougager had 7of9 and not much else. Haven't seen ST-Enterprise.

As far as the ST movies they have all been disappointing. Mainly because the basic foundation of ST (prime directive) is completely discarded and they do something different. Also seem to loose interest in telling and interesting story and prefer the merchandise sales.

StarTrek Voyager
StarTrek Enterprise

Where does Andromeda fit into all this?

I guess Andromeda is not really ST, it is a Gene Rodenberry series about rebuilding a fallen empire. Directed?produced by Majel Rodenberry and made in Canada. Vancouver BC I think.
