Word of advice to people: Don't gamble. Casino's screw you over. They don't count 0's as an "even" number in roulette, which cost me $80 tonight! Sort of got lucky in a way, got banned from the casino for not behaving well after claiming 0 was an even number

PS - The system of betting odds/evens and doubling your bet everytime you lose doesn't work

Don't say casino sucks:) w.o casinos, many ppl will lost their entertainment and life, especially elderly ppl. I guess the most important thing is self-control, not the casino!

Don't you mean that they will lose their life _with_ casinos when people gamble away all their money or get involved with all the dodgy things that go on in casinos.

Addictions are addictions are addictions....

Gambling, Drugs, Thrills, it takes many forms. Ultimately the issue lies with the person not the establishment. Casinos will always be there just like doctors will always give out addictive prescriptions and that people will jump out of perfectly good airplanes for a thrill.

They are around because people are addicted and can't give up gambling, same as if people didn't get addicted to drugs, drug dealers would go out of business....I agree it is ultimately up to the individual but they are only human with weaknesses and the "establishments" target these weaknesesses....people don't _want_ to gamble money....I guess the only reason you'd gamble was is you needed the money, or if you were greedy, or if you were addicted (which is still a result of one of the forementioned reasons).

I gamble for the thrill of it. I bet on sports every week (I'm actually quite a long way ahead with sports gambling). Only been the the casino twice though, won once, lost once. Never going back again
