I don't think that equates to £2000 difference in price. Also I don't live in Manchester, I live in a small village on the outskirts.

The lowest quote for my car for my area I've found on the net is £1170 through http://www.elephant.co.uk (that's an immediate drop in price from your AA quote - ir pays to shop around <g>) - I think they're the most competitive out there. I got my insurance through the FUW (The Farmers Union Wales). They've been insuring landrovers for farmers for years but recently opened up their business to outside customers and they provided me with the best deal. The closest to that was Swinton Insurance which was just under a £1000. This is fully-comp, BTW.
