I thought cigarette companies were all to be banned from sponsoring F1 soon.

There has been talk since the US does not allow it but no formal announcements have been made as of yet that I am aware of.

I also think that there has been a slippery slope present on adult oriented products for awhile.

If the tobacco companies back out of racing I feel the liquor companies could be next. Currently Liggett Meyers, RJ Reynolds and Philip Morris all have major sponsorships in motorcycle racing. RJ especially in flat track racing and PM/LM in road racing. If the liquor manufacturers back off then the biggest sponsor of racing (all kinds) would be lost, Budweiser. They are in all forms of racing including boats, cars and motorcycles.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 12 to 24 months.
