$numlinks for subpage only

$numlinks for subpage only
i also wish to get rid of the $Numlinks in the main page category, but not the subpages which counts the number of links for those individual subcat.

I del the $numlinks in the html-templates files, but it del all numlinks including the subcat. page too.

help?
