Have you checked to see if /home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/cgi-bin/search/admin/Links/ConfigData.pm has any content in it? I'm guessing this is a pre- LinksSQL 2.2, where the config file did have a habit of getting corrupt when certain things were done :(
