In the same vein... Does anyone use Ajax?

I'm thinking about using Ajax to check addresses that users enter into a form. Currently they have to click a button that triggers a pop-up window, but I'd love to make it a bit more "idiot proof" by having it happen asynchronously.

Does anyone have any opinions on the matter?

Just curious.
