I didn't mess with the registry keys, but eventually I couldn't even delete messages from the personal folder. At least when that happened I got a more descriptive message, that the pst file was indeed too large (or had reached it's maximum size)...

There are no keys or values in my registry setting MaxFileSize. Could I have created these keys/values to go larger than 2gig?
