I think perhaps you need to provide some additional information. You original question was:

"My questions is I want to view all records for a specific date SORTED according to the time field."

Are you using a custom search form to view records by the date? Or are you using a link?

Will all the searches be by date.

Are you working with just the default (keyword) search form and want the default order set to be by the time field?
