I wanted to send out an email to all 'not validated' users. After a first incorrect mailing, I had a look at Jasons code and noticed, that the email should look something like
You have registered at our discussion forum a while ago.
In order to activate your registration, you need to visit the following link:
<%cgi_root_url%>/gforum.cgi?do=user_validate&validate=<%user_id%>GT<%user_val_code%>

I sent the emails out through 'Email->Selected Users->Status: Not Validated'.
