found what I think is a small bug with the page builder plugin. this is how I made it happen..

1. create a few new simple pages.
2. list all of the pages.
3. click on one of the 'template' links next to your page.
4. click 'delete template'.

now if you try to build it throws up an error - can't find template or invalid template or something like that.

it should probably just default back to an "emergency" template if the system can't find one to use?
