Crappy vB!
Does anyone else think that vB's support 'forums' are actually helpful? Unless you get a 'sepcial membership', you can't access any of the threads related to hacking.

I just posted my disappointment in their 'site feedback' forum.

I've been trying to write a hack to link vB and another script together for nearly 2 weeks now. vbulletin.com sends me to here....but when I get here, I can't get access to any of the posts that would be helpful to me. What is the point? I thought this site was to help people. Why block out people who want to READ the threads? Are Jelsoft so scared that people are gonna copy parts of their script? Come on! There are enough free forum scripts out there for people not to bother with that. All it does, is deter people, like me, not to work with this script again...and certainly not to recommend it. I used to have high expectations of this script....but seeing the way the 2 'support' forums are ordered...I'm thinking again.

Just my opinion.

Its totally mad. Do GT feel they need to filter off the support forum to people who are trying to find hacks to their software? I don't think so. The vB guys are so much up their own arse, they are scared people are gonna take parts of their preciouse code? get real!

Does anyone here have any experience with vB? I'm trying to port over some users into it...but when I enter them into the 'users' table, it lets me log, but as soon as I try anything else, it asks me to login again. Can anyone with experience in vB help me? I have a feeling I'm missing some data in another table...but they have no relational-database help (so I cant see which tables link with what)....and basically, its a mess!

WHY OH WHY! Pirate

Cheers
