Using Detail and Popular with no URL’s

Using Detail and Popular with no URL’s
I am setting up a directory that does not require URL’s, (not required).
I have two questions:
What code string would I use in the category links so people could click on the listing and have that go to the detailed page?
How would I set the popular function to reflect this modification?
