Is there something I have to do to get the bcc list hidden in the emails that get sent when using a SMTP server?

I have successfully added:
bcc => someemail@somewebsite.com
to the GT::Mail->send function in add.cgi,

but when the email comes in to the cc and to recipients, they see the bcc recipients list as well.
The bcc list recipients all receive the email.

I've tried it using sendmail, and the bcc list doesn't show there, but when I use the SMTP server, the bcc list does show.

Is this a bug, or do I need to do something else?
