The error log could be stored anywhere... Ask the system administrator for help there.
If it's your own server, check your httpd configuration to see where you told it to store them. For apache, you can check your httpd.conf for the line which contains ErrorLog. There should be something like:
# ErrorLog: The location of the error log file.
# If you do not specify an ErrorLog directive within a <VirtualHost>
# container, error messages relating to that virtual host will be
# logged here. If you *do* define an error logfile for a <VirtualHost>
# container, that host's errors will be logged there and not here.

ErrorLog /usr/local/apache/logs/error_logHope this helps.
