heads explode and goooo fly all over the place???
the version in Japan are basically no holds barred (well within the story line that is!)
the cartoonist apparently went on to a series called "dragon quest" but it didn't go well and the future line version basically petered out ... I guess he got tired of the story. typical marvel for you ... make a great story continue for several years then go bananas on evil characters and increase poswer levels beyond all godliness!
Robotech on the other hand has gone off to robotech 7 ... the american story line is completely unknown over here. the original movie Macross is pretty minor and only the real fanatics know what I'm taking about.
