I've used both, but I would have to really compare the AdvertPro plugin to the Adcycle plugin to know for sure.
6 months ago, I would have said AdvertPro hands down, after some less than impressive results, and experiences with Adcycle. (I think I expressed my disappointment that Adcycle not AdvertPro was the plug in....)
Today.... I'm impressed with what Adcycle has done with their code, and as a newer program, it might have some benefits over Adcycle which has "legacy" code from an earlier day of perl programming. (I also expressed my updated feelings that the Adcycle program was much improved, and working fine as a plug in....)
I have a feeling it will come down to budget and to preference.
Because of the number of sites I have, I can run the two side by side. Postcards.com/etc is running off a customers copy of AdvertPro, while the LinkSQL site and one other are running Adcycle -- which brings up another point that may make the difference:
AdvertPro is set up to be a back-end server for a lot of sites. You can set up an AdvertPro machine, and serve ads (like ValueClick, doubleclick and the others do). I'm not sure Adcycle is set up to do that in the same way, at least I haven't tried to do it yet.
