I believe this has been discussed before in the DBMAN Customization Forum. Basically, what you need to do is export the spreadsheet as a tab delimited text file. Then reset the delimiter variable in the default.cfg file.

If you search for Excel Access import in the DBMAN Customization Forum, you should find more details about how to do this.
