You have to change how a link is displayed - and that should have been done in the same place, in your site_html.pl file. If you add the appropriate attribute, any link displayed in your directory, whether generated pages or search results, will open a new window.

Open site_html.pl (in your admin directory) and do a search for the site_html_link subroutine. You can do the appropriate edits there.
