Win98 PWS
Is it possible to install Gossamer Forum on a Win98 personal web server/MySQL?

I don't have FTP to myself so the installer hangs immediately. How do I install GF locally?

Try installing from one of the .tar.gz packages - they handle installing locally, while the Windows Installer is designed only for remote (via FTP) installations. Many decompression programs can read .tar.gz files - Winzip is one such program, though I prefer Power Archiver myself.
