Is there a way to 'lock' categories so they won't show up on the add/modify forms? I have a couple categories that are just cross-reference (with no links) but people keeo trying to add links to them.

Would be a nice feature (like field show_cat) but i don't think it's possible yet, other then delete <%Category%> in the include_form and 'hardcode' the list.

That's an interesting concept -- it's a slight twist to the way it's been looked at before.

I'll see if I can add that to some of the stuff I'm working on, but it's something that would be nice in the core of links.

Alex does have a few things he's been thinking about, but I'm not sure what exactly he's liked most, or how high it is on the list of things to do :)

These sorts of things are always better if they come out of the development team, rather than as an add on.

What this does is add some additional flag fields, and that might be the way to attack this. Problem is that searches and some other functions really don't do a lot of looking before rturning results, so there is some housekeeping that has to be thought about as well.
