Hi all,

I use multiple databases and JPD's secure password/lookup mod. I would like first-time users to bypass the HOME PAGE screen and be taken to the ADD RECORD screen. I just need to know the url of the ADD link. I suppose... hope nothing has to been to the cgi file.

This url did not work:
<A HREF="$db_script_link_url?add_form=1"> Add Record</A> ???

Btw, the SIGN UP SUCCESS screen pulls the Id and generated password values from the password file, via auto-fill. New users are informed there that their info has been mailed to them. What I have just discovered :-( is that often this "instantaneous" email process takes several hours, while interest goes flat. Interest also wanes when my site is temporarily vacated as users retrieve mail at web-mail sites. I realize that this method does not verify the email address, which was one thing the mod was supposed to do. But it should streamline and simplify things. And keep users onsite.

I believe thats to do with your webhost or the end users email provider.... I have came across this when i signup for newsletters or forums... and i simply never get the email (confirmation email!!) or it takes around 24hrs to get to me.. either its the viewers email/isp or your webhost... i dont think much can be done.....
