I have modified links 2.0 to be a an e-mail directory listing like whowhere.com. But I would like to know if there is a way to use the sendlink mod to send an e-mail to the person. For example, when someone creates his listing he will provide an e-mail and then if you want to send an e-mail to him, you will fill a form and send it without seeing his e-mail.

Actually, the sendlink Mod along with the Private Mailer Mod that I wrote are no longer available. I do believe that glennu or gotze re-wrote the mods and I believe they are listed in the Resource Center.

May be it is not called Private Mailer, but try looking for something like Send Link Owner. Again, I have pulled all my modifications since I do not have time nor patience to support them since I have upgraded most of my web sites to Links SQL. Basically, the Private Mailer does exactly what you are asking for...it sends email "privately" to "link owners".
