there shouldn't be any beginning "/". Aside from that, both "/" and "\" are correct; they're interchangeable. "\" is the Windows-style path (actually "\\" when double quoting), while "/" is the Unix-style path. I have a feeling that problem exists a few lines above where Perl says it is. Can you attach your links.cfg (not post) so we can see the entire file?
