Hi. SOrry to bother you. I had this problem a long time ago and dont recall and cant seem to find the solution. My home.html page is not updating with the correct number of new links. You can see it at www.weantique.com . If someone could just point me in the right direction please.... (or I can post code here if necessary). THANKS!

Do you have the tag <%grand_total%> in home.html?

You spurred me on to find the solution. (I had replaced the home.html with the code generated AFTER, which is in the index.html. DOH. So I replaced %category% with the resultant code. I put back the %category% and all is well.

Funny how after two days of thought and figuring, one finally asks for help... and then finds the answer!
