Alex Krohn

Alex founded Gossamer Threads Inc. in 1995 as a response to the lack of suitable software in the rapidly changing business environment of the 90s. His ability to recognize and respond to opportunities in a timely, efficient and creative manner has allowed him to successfully expand the scope and market of Gossamer Threads over the last decade and a half.

Alex studied computer science at Simon Fraser University. His early experience revolved mainly around website design, but once he realized that his true talent lay in programming and creating software, he had found his niche.

A firm believer in the creation and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships, Alex currently directs most of his energy towards relationship building at Gossamer Threads. He subscribes to a business model that values a great deal of collaboration and sharing of ideas and expertise with other software developers.

Alex strongly believes that there will always be a place for outstanding personalized service no matter what technological innovations we may see in the future.

Jack Ong

Jack started working with Alex almost 20 years ago at an automotive shop in North Vancouver and is very happy to have participated in the growth of Gossamer Threads over the last 10 years. Jack cherishes most of all his relationship with the team of great people in the GT office and looks forward to a front-row seat for the continuing evolution of the web.

Having come from an entrepreneurial background, his primary strength is in working with clients who are looking to start up or grow a business. With an eye to business justifications, cost control and scalability, his extensive experience helping Gossamer Threads' many clients achieve their goals has proven useful to countless organisations large and small.

He has served as the roof deck BBQ burger flipper, water pitcher filler, and janitor, but if you have a good idea, especially if it has a socially beneficial angle, Jack's many years behind the scenes of successful businesses could be your most valuable asset.
