Before upload / download:
C:\>md5sum.exe UH_3-Unix_04_2004.pdf
3ecb8801acbd2e7e96b93a4b72cee79c *UH_3-Unix_04_2004.pdf



Then after uploading it:

# md5sum UH_3-Unix_04_2004.pdf
b8d0502bf7986b78c4991da5db722bf1 UH_3-Unix_04_2004.pdf


Why is fileman corrupting the file?

I have also seen this numerous times. PDF docs are so common in our work we have had to abandon fileman until this is fixed.

Your uploading in Auto mode, which doesn't know that PDF is a binary file. If you switch it to Binary mode the file will have the same MD5.

Is there a way to auto-set this in fileman so that it handles PDFs correctly on upload
