I am also getting the following error when validating URLs:

Error Message : Unable to init mailer! Reason: Sendmail was not defined or not found: /usr/sbin/sendmail/

Sendmail is defined in links.cfg as follows:

$db_mail_path = '/usr/sbin/sendmail/';
$db_smtp_server = '';

Any ideas? TIA

Is that the correct path to sendmail on your server? If you have telnet (shell account), check the path by typing:


at the command prompt. If you do not have access to the shell, ask your ISP where it is located.

Yes it is. I have several scripts that use sendmail to send out confirmations (like this UBB softare for instance). No problems outside of Links 2.0.

Try it without the ending "/" and see if that makes a difference. Sendmail is a program, not a directory.

That was the problem, no glitches now with the validating. The modifying of links is still a problem but I will tackle that next. Thanks for the help!
