In admin.cgi, most of the pages load fine (including build all), but there are some pages that take a VEEEEEERY long time to "finish loading," but when they do, there is only a box with "Search Database" in it, or intro writing like "Check which records (128) you wish to validate and then press "Validate ". Only 10 records are displayed at a time. Click on the validate link to open a new window to preview the site." and nothing more.

Why would some pages load fine and others not?

Also, the Edit Templates link takes a LONG time to load and when it does it is an internal server error. Perhaps this is why my header/footer is failing?

Thats a lot of categories for a flat-file database :(

Links2 is only really designed for a few hundred categories at the most, and no more than a few hundred (possibly 1000, if lucky) ... but anything more, and its asking for data corruption

So you are certain this is the reason for the trouble loading all the pages in admin? I just find it curious that some pages (add link, for instance) load in seconds, while others (such as validate link) don't.

It also has worked fine for many years now (until I had to change paths and whatnot just now).
