Import Data

Can someone tell me or point to the thread that explans "How to import catagories" and "How to import data" link data and user data.

What do you mean by "import"? For a new install, you need to create each category, one at a time, using the admin panel. You then need to add each link, one at a time.

You probably use LinksSQL! Do a search here for dmoz, you will find threads about bulk-loading.

I got the category creator from UltraNerds but how do import the links?
Can I import them directly into MYSql?

Hi,

Are you sure you're using Links 2.0? (flatfile), and not LinksSQL? Sounds like your using Multi_Categories. Data_Import would be your best bet for bringing custom data from a text file, directly into LinksSQL. If this is a LinksSQL question, please let me know.. and I'll move it to the appropriate category <G>
