I'm pleased to announce the release of DeleteLinks, v1. I originally wrote this for one of my sites, but I've had a bit of interest in such a plugin - so I've finally packaged it up. If you own the ULTRA Package, or ULTRA Package PRO, this is also part of those packages :)

About:

This plugin lets your members view their listings (split into "active" and "expired"), and if they wish - they can click a link to delete any of their links from your site. This is really aimed at Classified type sites (i.e the product has been sold, etc)

Plugin Requirements:

• Gossamer Links 3.0.1+

Features:

• Allows your users to view their "active" listings, as well as "expired" listings
• Lets users delete *their* listings, if they want.
• Requires confirmation before deleting.

As I use a static site (generally - except with detail.cgi), could this plugin (after some template changes) actually replace the modify_select template?
To do this ideally it would need to be able to include link.html in the view_listings_active.html and view_listings_expired.html and view_listings.html templates.

Is this possible?

I suppose what I am asking is that could this plugin actually replace the modify_select.html template. In other words, instead of calling http://go.com/modify.cgi you could call the delete links cgi and it would fulfill the same functionality ie. list all links owned by the user. You could then add options to your templates to either modify or delete ....?

Ah I get you =)

I don't see why not. When you link someone to modify.cgi, send them to listings.cgi instead.

Then, they should be able to view their current listings, and just click on "Edit" next to their listing, to take them to modify.cgi?LinkID=xxx
