problem searching database

I've just installed DBMan and discovered something weird.. I'm using the default cfg and database files and when I do
a search for records to modify, if I search for "software"
i get all the records listed nicely, no probs there. But if
I do a search for "alex" which is the userid in the last field, no results, yet every record has a database field with alex in it at the end of the row. Why doesn't it list
the records when I search on "alex"?

Thanks,

Paul

1) Are you searching via the keyword field?
2) Have you tried using the search options like "Whole Words" or "Phrase"?

Hiya, thanks very much for your reply to my post about the search problem... You are right, I am doing the search using the "keyword" field and no other options.

Paul

Well...if you are using the keyword option...then it should find the value you input for a certain field since this option searches through all the fields...Try using one of the search options I suggested and see what happens.
