Sorting by Numerical Values

Sorting by Numerical Values

OK...

I am still very new to this all, so this might seem like a simple question, but I am stumped.

I am working on a database of private foundations, and I am trying to produce a list of their assets, arranged from the largest to the smallest in descending order.

But, the default set up for DBman does not sort fields with numbers in this in this fashion.

My guess is that there is some sort of mod that will allow it to do so.

Anyone know how its done?

Thanks in advance!

If you set the field_type to 'numer' for the field you want to sort on, you should get a numerical sort of search results.

In the search options section of the "View Search" form, you can set which field you want to sort by and whether you want the sort ascending or descending.
