Somehow in the transfer I guess I screwed up the default.count file because the number in there wal lower than the actual number of records ... I changed it to the next highest record number and viola! it worked.

NOW ... the "modify own" mod *still* doesn't work ... it finds *zero* records. Does anyone know enough about this mod to have a clue where the problem might be?

To: All

I want to apologize for starting a new thread here. I *did* read and understand the suggestion made to me before (was it Eric?)

This was completely an accident and the result of my own stupidity.

Sorry!

I'm not sure what mod you're talking about. Is it the "Automatic View/Modify Search" mod? All it does is do the same thing as a "List All," except for that it ends up with the modify form instead of regular search results. The reason that it works to pull up a user's records is that, with $auth_modify_own=1, only those records that belong to the current user are returned from a modify search.

Could you post the code you used?

(I am trying to keep this forum more for installation and configuration problems, but yours could very well be a configuration problem, so it's not a problem for you to post it here.)
