Hi All

Does anyone know if Google has a way to find out the frequency of X search term?

We're thinking of doing some Adwords, and we want to get a handle on how quickly a campaign might last.

For example, how often was the term "FRED" searched in the:

- last hour
- last day
- last week
- last month

I searched the Google Keyword Tools and other things, but I couldn't find a keyword frequency tool.

I think the keyword tool provides some kind of estimate of the total amount that you'd spend on a particular ad, from which you might be able to infer a rough idea of keyword frequency, at least relative to other terms. It's a pretty crude approach, though.

Overture provides more specific numbers on the actual number of times that a given term was searched for in the last month, but I have no idea how you would scale those numbers to estimate Google searches. I'm sure someone's done the legwork at some point, but I have yet to encounter any reliable figures.
