ExtraStats 2.2.6
I've uploaded a new version of ExtraStats.

The extra functions are lists of the top categories in your directory for a particular day or a particular month and the top links over a week.

As usual you can specify the number of links/categories in the list and, optionally, the date.

If you do not own the plugin and would like to see all the available stats with this plugin, I've attached the tags file to this message.

Hi Mick,

Sorry - I think this is a problem with table prefixes - I don't have them on my site so its difficult to test this. Can you try the new version that I've uploaded?

If this doesn't work, I think I may need to play with it on your site to find the problem.

Laura.

Just to let you know - a new version with fixes for those of you with prefixes on your tables has now been uploaded.

Another point to note - if you choose not to overwrite your templates you will need to add the es_cat_list.html template to your template set.

I didn't know if this was the best place to ask but I'm going to anyway!

I receive over 200,000 pageviews per month and was wondering if this plugin may slow down my site? I'm on a shared server and it's not the fastest one either.

No, ExtraStats does its little bit of extra processing when you click on a link that uses jump.cgi so it shouldn't have any effect on the speed of your site. Obviously there is also some processing on the pages where you use the graphs, lists etc but this is just like adding any globals to your pages.

Hello,

Script is very good.

It is essential for the use of Link SQL.

Gossamer should support the project for the future improvement.

Moreover, Laura is very professional.

Thank you Laura. Smile Smile Smile

Laura... one of my customers is looking at buying your ExtraStats plugin. Where would I go about making this purchase for them?

Hi Laura,

Is there a way to track link impressions instead of hits?

I am building a site with many "links" without link/URL

Is there a way to trigger ExtraStats to track visits to detailed page instead of Hits?

Thanks!

Hi,

ExtraStats uses a hook on jump_link so it will track clicks throughs to detailed pages if you link to them using jump.cgi?Detailed=<%ID%>

If this is no good for you, you could use SiteStats which does track page impressions - you can set up a group called Detailed and then you can have lists of the top detailed pages.

Hi,

it would be nice if you can make it possible
to get the daily Hits for the last month on
a graph using a standard tag like:

<%Plugins::ExtraStats::DailyStatsLastMonth($ID,'A')%>

What about this:

<%getlastmonth%><%Plugins::ExtraStats::DailyStats($ID,'A',$lastmonth,$lastyear)%>

and then use this global called getlastmonth

sub {
my $month = GT::Date::date_get(time,'%mm%')-1;
my $year = GT::Date::date_get(time,'%yyyy%');
if ($month == '0'){
$month=12;
$year=$year-1;
}
return {lastmonth=>$month,lastyear=>$year};
}

I've updated the plugin so that you can now use the tag

<%Plugins::ExtraStats::getlastmonth%>

instead of using the global. (You'll need to download the new version).
