Question for AutoSubmitBlock MOD

Question for AutoSubmitBlock MOD
I have tried Paul's AutoSubmitBlock MOD and it works well. However, I found that the MOD created many random pass *.txt files just in my links directory. How to delete them automatically? Otherwise, even auto submission is blocked, my web hosting space will be used up soon (auto submission will be blocked but they will also create those temp files automatically in my disk). Can Paul or anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Second, as Philip's post mentioned, random submission id's can be easily got around using modules to fetch submission forms and parse content before submitting data. Can we display the code in an image like Yahoo does? That will be harder to spamers.

A solution was posted to this a while back (can't remember when) - so, as others would say, search the forum. Try searching for spammers, spam, German spammers etc., etc.

Basically you need to run a CGI script via cron to delete the .txt files. They don't take up that much space, but it's kind of amusing to see how many of them are created everydaySly

TMP directory In reply to
Can I specify a /cgi-bin/link2.0/admin/data/temp directory under cgi-bin/link2.0/admin/data. Then let the MOD create all the temp random files there. Whenever I build my links, the program can first remove all temp id text files there. Sounds good, but I don't know how to do it? Frown
