I'm installing links in a windows nt sistem now and, after a lot of errors and modifications, admin.pl finally runs but now I'm getting this error when triying to add anything:

error in get_defaults. unable to open id file: &add_form=1

I don't know what else I could do or try. Could you help me please? Thanks!

Now that is a weird one. I would suggest starting with a clean installation. Rename *.cgi to *.pl and update the url's in the config accordingly. Better yet, if you have access have your web server run .cgi scripts. Steps to do this can be found at:

If you do get stuck, a URL to the problem would help quite a bit, as well as a URL where we can see your config.

Thanks Alex! This time worked in the first attempt with a lot less problems.
But I'm getting a strange thing in the main page... A blank category and a (0). I checked the categories database and the template and everything's ok. I don't know from where that comes from.

Check your categories.db file and look for a blank line. Then try clicking on Check Cat in the admin and make sure your categories are fine. If you are still stuck, zip up your data dir and email it over and I'll take a look.
