Strip carriage Error, I am uploading in ascii
I am getting

CGI ERROR
==========================================
Error Message : fatal error: (Maybe you didn't strip carriage returns after a network transfer?)

Script Location : /export/ext1/www/foodweb/cgi-bin/links/admin/nph-build.cgi
Perl Version : 5.00404

This is after I edited (with pico) in my linux shell the script before was an Error 500.

I made everything that the readme said, and uploaded in ascii, but after I downloaded again the script from gossamer I checked it in my text editor and it looks like when you do a binary transfer in ftp, so I think my problem is downloading the script (Links2).

Is it possible that in zip format can be changed the scripts or something?

I am tired of trying make this thing work, please help!

Thanks

The problem most likely with the scripts you have extracted from the .zip file. Downloaded the .zip file has been discussed in this forum quite a few times...Click on the following search link:

zip strip carriage ASCII Links
